How do I become a member?
It doesn't take long to become a member of Sygeforsikringen "Danmark" - in fact, it's easier than you might think. The application can be done electronically, where you only need to enter your full name and CPR number. Subsequently, Sygeforsikringen "Danmark" will collect all relevant information. There are different groups that you can be a member of. This varies depending on the type of health insurance you want to take out and what your needs are.
As a rule, you can get a subsidy for general dental treatment if you are in groups 5, 1 and 2. Reimbursement for other treatments depends on which group you belong to.

How much can I get in subsidies?
What you can get in reimbursement depends on which insurance group you choose to enroll in with Sygeforsikringen "Danmark" and which treatment you get done. Below we have gathered a few examples - however, they are indicative.
- Common services
When it comes to common services such as dental cleaning, dental checkup or local anesthesia, all three groups are eligible for reimbursement. The reimbursement is the same for all groups but varies from DKK 64 to DKK 105 depending on the service. - Plastic fillings
The price of a plastic filling can vary, and so does the reimbursement. Whether you're having a front tooth or a molar made, the reimbursement is different. The reimbursement varies between 128 kr. and 300 kr. See our prices for dental fillings here here. - Root canal treatment
Whether you need to have a small or large molar removed in connection with a root canal treatmentthere is also a difference in the reimbursement. The reimbursement is either 225 kr. or 900 kr. for all groups, depending on the treatment. - Dental crown
Getting a dental crown can be extensive. It depends, for example, on the type of crown and the material it is made of. As a member of group 5, you'll receive a DKK 300 subsidy, while it's DKK 1200 in groups 1 and 2 respectively. - Dental bridges
If you've lost one or more teeth, it's a good idea to have one made dental bridge - which you also get a subsidy for. As a member of group 5, you do not receive a subsidy, which you get in groups 1 and 2. The subsidy is DKK 1200 and DKK 3600 respectively, depending on what needs to be done.
