At Tandliv, we have specialized certification from Invisalign, so you and your teeth are in the best hands.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern way to straighten teeth. Unlike the more traditional form of straightening with braces like train tracks, Invisalign braces are transparent and almost invisible.

With Invisalign, it is possible to correct several types of malocclusions. Whether it's large gaps between teeth, crooked teeth, single teeth protruding outside the dental arch, underbites or teeth that are too close together, Invisalign is a great treatment choice.

The transparent splints are made of thermoplastic material, i.e. material that is malleable when heated - and it is of course medically approved.

With Invisalign treatment, you'll be custom-designed a specific number of aligners that you change every two weeks so that your teeth are constantly shifting. This allows the aligners to determine both how much and when the teeth should move.

Throughout the treatment process, you will have check-ups with us to make sure everything is going as it should. The treatment time varies greatly depending on what needs to be fixed.

The final result is a beautiful new smile that you can show off to everyone.

Why choose Invisalign?

Invisalign has become a popular form of braces and is already used by more than 3 million people worldwide.

This is partly because:

Effective treatment method

Many people have experienced great results with Invisalign.

Discreet and transparent rails

The aligners are both discreet and transparent, making it difficult to see that you are wearing braces at all. That's why people of all ages often choose Invisalign.

The rails are removable

You can remove the rails when you want to brush your teeth or when you eat. This way you also avoid getting food stuck in the bracket.

Does not bother lips, cheeks and tongue
The bar has a surface that doesn't interfere with the inside of your lips, cheeks or tongue.

Easy to clean

Invisalign aligners are easy to wash, so you can maintain good oral hygiene at all times.

Does not interfere with your speech

Due to the very thin material of the rails, the rails do not interfere with your speech.

Relieves many types of discomfort

Invisalign can alleviate many different types of discomfort, such as crookedness, large gaps between teeth, overbite and underbite.

Does not cause pain

The treatment process is relatively painless. Most people feel a slight irritation when switching from one splint to another, but the irritation subsides after a few days.

Get the smile you dream of with invisalign

Many people think that once you're past your teenage years, it's too late to get straight teeth. However, this is not the case. With Invisalign, it's now possible for people of all ages to get the smile of their dreams without having to wear traditional braces. Most people associate braces with youth, which has prevented many people from straightening crooked teeth.

This is why Invisalign is a particularly popular treatment among adults who simply want cosmetic teeth straightening without attracting the attention that traditional braces often attract.

For many, Invisalign treatment offers more than just cosmetic improvements. Patients who have had particularly crooked teeth will most likely also experience an improvement in terms of oral hygiene. When teeth are crooked, it can be difficult to maintain the oral hygiene needed to avoid tooth decay and gingivitis.

Therefore, straightening teeth with Invisalign is not only an investment in confidence but also an investment in the overall hygiene of your teeth.

Your future smile in 60 seconds with the My Invisalign app

Ever wondered what your smile would look like if it was straight? Invisalign has made it possible in just 60 seconds with their new My Invisalign app.

The My Invisalign app is, in its pure simplicity, an app that can give you a realistic picture of what your teeth might look like after Invisalign. The app can be quickly and easily downloaded to your tablet or smartphone and works by taking a smiling selfie and uploading it to the app. In less than 60 seconds, the app gives you a lifelike and accurate picture of what your smile will look like after an Invisalign treatment.

What the Invisalign app does is draw on Invisalign's database of over six million Invisalign users to predict the effect of braces in your particular case. The sophisticated SmileView imaging tool in the app not only superimposes a fake smile over your natural smile, but it can maintain the shape and shade of your teeth as you move them. The app also takes into account the light level of individual teeth to show how much brighter your teeth can look after they have moved out of the shadow of other teeth.

Download the app today and see how much of a difference Invisalign can make for you and your smile.

Your treatment course with Invisalign:

1. First consultation

You'll start with a consultation with us to see if Invisalign is the best option for you. If we decide it's the right path for you, we will prepare a treatment plan and a price estimate - and thoroughly familiarize you with how the treatment process will work.

2. Impression of teeth

If you want to accept Invisalign treatment after the initial consultation, you'll need to have x-rays taken and impressions made of your teeth. We will use the impressions to make your aligners.

3. Starting up the treatment

Once we've made your aligners, you'll need to come back to us and we'll explain in detail how to use the aligners.

4. Replacing the splints and checking

You need to wear your aligners around the clock, except when you eat or brush your teeth. A large part of the treatment process involves changing your aligners to new aligners every two weeks, in a specific order. It's the change from one aligner to another that ensures your teeth gradually move to the final result.

During the course of treatment, you'll have a check-up at our clinic to make sure your teeth are moving as they should. The frequency of check-ups at the clinic varies, but it's usually once every 6 weeks.

5. When the treatment process is complete

Once you're done with treatment, we need to make sure your teeth stay in the right position. Therefore, you can either choose to get a plastic splint to wear at night - or you can have a very thin metal wire glued to the back of your front teeth to hold your new position.

What to remember - during treatment

In order to achieve the desired results, you need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day. It is therefore important that you only remove your aligners when you eat, brush your teeth and clean your aligners.

Cleaning the rails

To avoid damaging your teeth when wearing Invisalign aligners, it is very important that you clean your aligners thoroughly. You do this by rinsing them in lukewarm water.
It's also important to brush and floss your teeth right after eating and before putting your aligners back on.

Also, keep up with your check-ups and dental cleanings as usual.

Chewing gum and smoking

While it may be tempting, we don't recommend chewing gum or smoking while wearing aligners. Chewing gum can damage your aligners by getting stuck - and smoking while wearing aligners can discolor your teeth. In addition, your aligners can become stained or discolored and lose their invisible "effect".

Prices of Invisalign

The cost of your Invisalign treatment depends on what the challenge with your teeth is and how much straightening is required for you. There are differences in the course and length of treatment. That's why we can't give you a price estimate for your treatment until after your first consultation. The price can vary from anywhere between DKK 13,000 to DKK 40,000.

FAQ - Invisalign

Invisalign is a modern method of straightening teeth without the use of traditional braces. It involves the use of a series of almost invisible, removable and customized plastic trays, called aligners, which gradually move the teeth into the desired position. Invisalign is popular among adults and adolescents as it is discreet, comfortable and convenient.

The price of Invisalign varies from person to person and it depends a lot on the condition of your teeth. After an initial consultation, we will give you an estimate of the cost of your treatment. The price can vary from anywhere between DKK 13,000 to 40,000.

The difference between Invisalign and regular braces lies in their appearance and method. Invisalign uses removable, almost invisible plastic aligners, while traditional braces use attached metal components and wires. Invisalign is more discreet and comfortable, while traditional braces can correct more complex dental issues. Treatment time also varies depending on the method chosen.
